Gold's Gym Memphis

Gold's Gym is the pioneer of the fitness industry

About

Gold's Gym Memphis, located at 888 South White Station Road, Memphis, TN 38117, is part of a renowned fitness chain with a rich history. The parent company, Gold's Gym, was founded by Joe Gold in 1965 in Venice, California. Initially, it was a bare and gritty weightlifting room that attracted serious bodybuilders. The company changed hands several times, and from 1979 to 1999, it was owned by Peter Grymkowski and his partners. During their ownership, they expanded the gym from a 5,500-square-foot facility to a 60,000-square-foot building and started franchising in 1980. By 1999, there were over 534 Gold's Gym locations throughout the U.S. and the world.

In 2004, the Texas-based investment group TRT Holdings acquired Gold's Gym. Later, in 2020, the RSG Group acquired Gold's Gym and integrated the brand into its portfolio, making it the global leader in the fitness sector. Gold's Gym offers various fitness services, including group exercise classes, yoga, Pilates, spinning, personal training, and weightlifting. The Memphis location features state-of-the-art amenities, cardio equipment, free weights, locker rooms, personal training, and tanning services.

When you join Gold's Gym as a member, you can expect a welcoming and supportive environment with a wide range of fitness options to suit your needs. Membership fees vary depending on the location and the type of membership you choose. On average, it costs around $49 to $59 per month. Gold's Gym membership benefits may include unlimited group exercise classes, access to state-of-the-art fitness equipment, personal training assessments, and access to various gym locations depending on your membership tier. Additionally, some Gold's Gym locations offer special deals and discounts for members, such as reduced rates for family add-ons or access to exclusive merchandise and services.
