Merge Memphis is a beacon of hope in Memphis, Tennessee. Founded by Keith and Sherry McClure, both full-time nurses, this non-profit organization is dedicated to providing underserved women in the Mid South area with safe emergency shelter and housing. Their mission doesn't stop there; they also provide wrap-around services to assist these women towards self-sufficiency.
The organization runs several programs to support its mission. Clare's House, an emergency shelter, offers a peaceful refuge for homeless women in the community. The Opportunity Center is another initiative, providing economical housing for men striving to rebuild their lives.
Merge Memphis also addresses food insecurity through the Little Free Pantries program, installing pantries around Memphis stocked with basic food items for anyone in need. They even operate a non-profit food truck that serves delicious food while giving back to the community. Half of each purchase goes towards supplying food for the truck, while the other half directly benefits the community, helping to feed, clothe, and house the homeless.
