About

The Forrest Spence Fund is a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to assist with the non-medical needs of critically or chronically ill children and their families throughout the Mid-South. Founded in 2007 after the loss of their son, Forrest, Brittany and David Spence felt impassioned to support those going through similar situations. Since its establishment, the Forrest Spence Fund has provided individualized support to over 67,000 families impacted by childhood illness. The FSF meets families where they are in their journey and provides support through four avenues: meeting individual patient and family needs, partnering with institutions to better recognize and meet non-medical needs, connecting families with counseling and support groups and covering the cost of counseling for bereaved families, as well as providing financial grants to help families in need.
