Day trip to Brighton

The other week, my flatmates and I decided to take a day and travel down to Brighton. Now, Brighton is a place that I had wanted to visit for a long time, pretty much ever since I knew that I’d be traveling to London this semester. I had heard stories of Brighton’s Palace Pier and its gorgeous pebble beaches, and I had also heard about the British Airways i360 tower, which essentially is a gigantic circular glass elevator that carries its passengers 450 feet into the air for a stunning view of the city. So the fact that we got to all head over there as group was exciting to me!

We started the day out early, catching a train to head over to the colorful city. I say colorful for several different reasons, the first being that Brighton is well, bright with color! The city is incredibly unique, as I had never been anywhere like it before. There was graffiti and murals everywhere, and the shops, and even the people, were full of an overflowing sense of happiness.

I also use the word colorful in the fact that the city itself is very diverse, which is great! There are so many different types of people within Brighton, of all different ethnicities and in the way they presented themselves. It was so amazing to see a city where people felt comfortable being themselves.

After a bit of shopping at some of the quirky little shops, we decided to grab some lunch and enjoy it on the beach. The beach was absolutely gorgeous and so peaceful. If only it hadn’t of been so cold! We all sat on the stones and ate our lunch, just enjoying ourselves and the view in front of us.

After lunch, we headed over to the pier. The pier is full of arcade games, amusement park rides, food and souvenir shops, but we simply walked the length of it just to see what it had to offer. I personally would’ve loved to dive into the games and rides (and some of the food was very tempting), but we were all chilly so we decided not to stay too long.

Moving Shouldn't be Hard

Reasons Moving Sucks:

  • All the packing
  • All the stress
  • Stuff getting damaged
  • Trying to organize it all
  • Finding a good moving company

There are no limits to the services we provide for our clients. There is no such thing as ‘too heavy’ or ‘too far.’ No job is ‘too big’ or ‘too small.’ Time is taken to listen and understand your moving needs.  ABSOLUTE MOVING is a combination of top-notch customer service, integrity, efficiency, and dependability, with an unrivaled work ethic that equals the perfect formula — resulting in the customer satisfaction that has brought us to where we are today.

Then we got to do what I was personally most excited for: the i360 tower! We were easily able to catch a ride without having to wait too long. Our flight (since the tower is sponsored by British Airways, they call each ride a “flight”) was pretty full, but being able to catch a bird’s-eye view of the gorgeous city made it completely worth it. I will provide some picture of the view that we had, but in reality, they don’t do it justice. You just have to experience it yourself! But the view was amazing and I was grateful to have checked that off the list of things I had wanted to do while visiting.

The rest of the day was pretty relaxed, visiting some more of the little shops and markets around the city and then settling in for a nice dinner at one of the local pubs.

Overall, the trip was amazing and I am beyond grateful that we got to visit the city I had wanted to see for so long!

I also have a short video from my trip to Brighton, so please feel free to check that out as well! Thanks for reading!
