As a teacher at Snowden School, Althea Greene served the community she has lived in her entire life. Now, the Shelby County School Board Vice Chair would like to lend her leadership to the Shelby County Commission. In addition to serving the day-to-day needs of District 7, if elected, Greene would dedicate her experience toward community reinvestment and a repeal of Tennessee’s new open carry gun law.
One of Memphis’ first female Bishops, she is also the Sr. Pastor of Real Life Ministries. Greene’s faith has sustained her life-long commitment to community service. As well as recent efforts like pandemic-related food giveaways, her work includes serving the needs of the homeless and helping the less-fortunate pay their utilities.
