Tell noobs who don’t know about the event (like myself) about the event

Mempho Music Festival was created to blend today’s best contemporary sounds with Memphis’ storied musical heritage. With half our lineup made up of internationally touring bands/artists, and the other half completed by local Memphis legends, attendees can expect a full education in the roots of music.

What’s this is hear about camping for this year?

Camping! For the first time ever at Shelby Farms Park, there will be overnight camping all weekend long. At 4,500 acres, Shelby Farms Park is one of the largest urban parks in the country with more than 20 bodies of water, serving as the perfect backdrop to Mempho’s continuous playlist. Located less than 20 miles from downtown Memphis, the park is both a vibrant community hub and a retreat from the hustle bustle of urban life–the perfect alternative to hotel accommodations. Shelby Farms Park also offers a variety of activities including: zip-lining through the trees, canoeing, paddleboating, and kayaking the lakes; biking through the tree-lined paths, horseback riding, and so much more!

What kind of impact does Mempho leave on our city?

We’re here to celebrate Memphis culture and community. We hope that the annual event brings locals together, but we also hope that people will travel in for it. The festival takes place over a long weekend, giving tourists the perfect opportunity to check Memphis off the bucket list.
